Hello All,

I recently installed an SSD drive in my HTPC for obvious reasons (speed and silence)

After setting up a clean install of MP the trouble started

I stream my movies over a wireless N network (300Mbit) from my server.
When playing the movies with, for example, media player i have smooth playback.

When playing the same movie with mediaportal i recieve video stuttering.
These stutters only freeze the video, the audio runs like a charm.

i have tried several codecs (SAF5 and FFDshow+Matroska), reinstalled my htpc several times but i still get the stutter in my video.

At the moment i'm clueless as to what the problem might be!

Below is a screenshot of the moment when the stutter occurs, don't exactly know what the graphs mean but i'm guessing it aint good.

If you know a solution, please help.

Have you tried the dshowhelper dll's attached to first post in this thread - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-development-no-feature-request-here-48/mp1-evr-presenter-dshowhelper-community-development-81148/ - I'd suggest the trying the v0055a version first.

thanks for the reply!
i started checking out ReClock and your Dshowhelper.dll

How exactly is that to be registered? i placed the file in the c:\windows\system32 folder, it wasn't there yet, and registered it with regsvr32 (did recieve an error message).

I also noticed that the stutter happens when i use the DTS output, when i use DD5.1 i do not have the stutter.
(i use passthrough to my reciever)

For the dshowhelper.dll, just replace the original dll (after making a backup copy of it) in C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

no real effect, the graph looks different but there are still stutters.

going to try to see if ReClock is an option, if i did my homework right i won't be able to use DXVA with reclock...thats a bummer

Ok, small update.

I think i have the problem under controll now.

I installed reclock and messed around with the settings a bit.
Put the default audio renderer of MP to ReClock and voila: no stutter!
even bitstream pass-through seems to work good

gotta tackle the last problem now (the rss feed isn't showing in the homescreen...but thats not a very important problem)

Stutter for me was a audio codec - wa due to AC3 content. Played around in ffdshow all is good now.

I noticed that your windows refresh rate is 60hz, while the video you are playing is 24hz. Is your TV 24hz compatible?
