    Hello everyone,

I want to create video playlists of some of my TV series. Right now adding multiple episodes across multiple seasons is very cumbersome using the MP interface. For example I have all the TV series of seinfeld and would love to just have MP play a random one / cycle through while I am cooking dinner. Is there a plug in that would make this easier. I posted in the TV-Series as I use this for working with my tv series.

Thanks in advance for the help

Opps for got to mention that I am running win 7 x64 and MP 1.1.3 one my HTPC and 1.2 Beta on my office computer so if the solution only works on the beta or the stable version let me know

Enable the add unwatched episodes to playlist setting, then at series level bring up context menu (F9 on keyboard) and select '3' for adding to current playlist, then bring up left menu, go to current playlist and presto you can see all the episodes got added. Just start first one and the rest will play. There are also options to make this playlist shuffle random, but I personally prefer them in order.

If you also run with Trakt enabled, then you need to ensure you have the latest version of that DLL, because otherwise marking a series/season/episode as unwatched inside MP-TVSeries is undone on the next import sync.

PS: Also mark any specials as watched if you add a series at series level, or they will also get added. Unless of course you prefer it that way.

Thanks so much for the help, but I am still a little stuck. I'm not sure where to get to the playlist setting. Is it in the Mediaportal configuration or from within mediaportal? If within mediaportal I don't see it under the settings.

    Thanks again for the help

This is inside MP-TVSeries configuration, if you do not use the pluginconfigloader.exe tool to directly launch the MP-TVSeries config, then you have to do this from within MediaPortal config, so you go to plugins, right click on TV-Series and open config. Then goto 'Views/Filters' tab, scroll to the bottom and adjust the checkbox settings in the "Playlist View".

The settings most important for you will be "Auto shuffle playlist when loaded" if you want the random part to work and the "Only Add Unwatched Items to playlist view on Series/Season views" for the easy feature to keep track of episodes you want to continue watching.

PS: Keep in mind that if you do not shut your HTPC off, but you start and stop a current playlist, that it is not cleared automatic. So when you want to resume where you left off, you have to first clear out the current playlist before you add new unwatched entries. I'm going to make an enhancement request for this to clear the playlist automatic after X many hours of it not being used.
