Hi,

These are the 3 DVB-T transponders available where I live:

Transponder 1 (682MHz) - Problematic
Transponder 2 (698MHz) - Perfect
Transponder 3 (706MHz) - Perfect

Two of the 3 transponders are working fine for me. The other transponder is giving me problems.
When I watch live tv the picture is very jerky with lots of dropped frames. If I enable the "Don't drop discontinued packets" option in Mediaportal Config -> Television -> TV Client the jerkiness goes but I get a lot of garbled frames.

BUT

If I schedule a recording and then exit out of Mediaportal while it records then the recording is fine and plays back in Mediaportal with no problems. Similarly the channels on this transponder play fine in the preview in TV-Service Config.

This problem has been ongoing for some time and so far no one has been able to help me sort it out.
I'm hoping this makes sense to someone who may see what the problem is.

Logs attached.

Thanks
Andy

No one has any suggestions they can make? This problem is very frustrating, as 5 of the 6 or 7 channels I normally watch are essentially unwatchable.

I had this same problem back with 1.0 and 1.0.1, but it went away when I installed 1.0.2, only to return after a week or so. Someone once suggested that it was a problem with my reception, but I don't understand how it could be as only 1 transponder is affected and recordings made without Mediaportal running are fine.

I really want to get this sorted out, so any input from other users would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Andy

I've been trying a few more things to try and fix the problem, but still no luck.

I've tried 4 different versions of the HVR2200 drivers from 7.2.9.26105 through to the latest I could fine 7.6.1.27086 and the problems remained with all of them.

I also found out yesterday that VLC can tune in and decode dvb so I tried it out. It struggled with most of the HD channels but it gave excellent results with all the SD channels including the ones on the transponder that I'm having troubles with in Mediaportal. So this suggests to me that my problems aren't related to my reception or my TV tuner.

Anyway still interested in any info that might help me fix my problems.

Thanks
Andy
