I'm having a strange problem when watching a movie/tv series (not live tv) where at random times the video frames will freeze/go really slow while the sound is still playing perfectly. When I try to pause/hit the info button on my remote it takes like 10 seconds for it to pop up like something is hogging the cpu or something. Here is my log.

Also note that I'm running 1.3 alpha but also have this problem with 1.2.3. This is with codec packs and without codec packs. I can't figure this out and is about to make me switch to XBMC which I don't want to do at all :(

42 Views? :( Could it have anything to do with my SSD? It seems I didn't have this problem until I upgraded to an SSD drive. Note that all my videos etc... are on a Sata 2 HDD. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks man! Since I haven't used MP at all today (and this happened again last night) I went ahead and used the "Export all currently present logs" option I hope these are of some help. If not then I'll use the "Report bug option"

As far as I can tell I don't see anything strange in the logs.
Could you try LAVF Codecs (Splitter & Video decoder) for playback? (install x86!)

Tried all those and it seemed to get worse. It would play fine for about 9-20 minutes, then the video would start going really slow (audio playing normal) then MP would just randomly close itself It did this about 10 times last night. I just completely uninstalled MP and am going to start from scratch.

Though if it helps any before uninstalling I did export the logs.

    Hi,

It seems that in last log you didn't setup like wiki (above link).
we can see haali splitter in use etc.

    Code:

    2012-08-26 04:41:21.045898 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: VideoPlayer:Duration:1243.4

Try to set LAV for all and in LAV Video set DXVA2 for hardware Acceleration :)

Also you have error from plugin HTPC / Tvseries maybe related to Trakt, you can try to update too.
You can also start MP in debug mode (it will disable plugin an try to play something from myvideo like this we can avoid error from plugin).

To start in debug mode : start from start menu in team mediaportal -->> "MediaPortal Debug-Mode"

    Good luck. :p
