Video Tearing using MP internal player, no tearing using Windows Media Player (1 Viewer)

I currently use CoreAVC on the internal MP player and get tearing on H264 movies. When I play using Windows Media Player Classic or Windows Media Player there is absolutely no tearing.

I have HaaliSplitter set to always autoload VsFilter.

Please help.

Tearing is caused by the vertical sync not equal or compattible for the incoming signal and outgoing signal.. Make sure in the Graphics driver software "Vsync" is set to Allways On, for ATI this is called "wait for vertical sync". Probably this setting can be found somewhere under 3D settings.

What also helps if you download and install .NET Framework 3.5 and set Mediaportal to use EVR i.s.o. VMR9 (is a good idea to do anyway).

What also could help is set Mediaportal Directshowfilters to disable Hardware acceleration for the H264 codec, On board cards most of the time are not very well suited to use hardware acceleration for H264/Mpeg4 movies (check the specs of your Graphics card).

Last but not least.. Make sure the MPV Videocodec and Dscaler codecs (both video and audio) are UNREGISTERED, otherwise it will still load into the Graph and will interfere with CoreAVC. setting the merits lower of these codecs does not seem to help, they keep on loading into the graph.. so therefore remove them by Unregistering them. I use Radlight to unregister MPV and Dscaler.

Lots, thank you for your help. I tried everything you suggested except unregistering the MPV video codec and Dscaler. I could not find either of them. I have the k-lite pack installed.
