Hi
I hope somebody can help me before I burry my HTPC.

I have installed a new AMD 64X 2 6000+ prosessor and a Gigabyte motherboard on my HTPC. Did a new XP sp2 installation and then been spending 15+ hours try getting MP to work again. '

I have following problems.

1 The screen freeze when zapping music, the music still plays. (only sometimes)
2 Not able to play any videoindside MP. It works well in WMP.
3 My tv will not go to full screen. MP freeze when I try.

I been installing coreAVC, divX and Xvid codec pacs. Tried to install a English XP no change the formatted and installed the Danish again. My OP system works fine outside MP.
I have attached a log for TV crash and one when I try to play Video

Hope somebody can help as i am totaly lost here now.

Best regards

Lars

You do not mention you graphics card. Maybe related to this thread?

When referring to "going fullscreen" are you refering to the MP-application going fullscreen or is the application already fullscreen and you are refering only to the video inside MP going fullscreen? If referring to the first, you need to stop video/tv before taking the application fullscreen.

    Hi,
rebreather, add you system specs & tell us which MP version etc you use & if it's a clean install(no old files etc left from a earlier installation).
btw, have you updated windows @ win update(everything) + .net 3?

    Regards
    Roy

Download new drivers.. I _never_ use drivers that comes with the cd unless I have no choice. Dont install codec packs, theres a few guides here on the forum on what codecs to grab to get a stable working system. Also be sure you have all upgrades to your system, including all .net packs.

I echo Darre, stay away from codec packs. they are bad news. download each individual codec you want/need and install separately.

    Thanks guys.

I uninstalled all my codecs, did another fresh install og MP with TV3 engine from yesterday, downloaded the net3,5 from MS homepage and now i am up running again :D

I tried to install the new CCC 7,12 amd combined with the skin folder with the changed flipy settings downloaded for the link rekenaar refered to the music is also up running again.......

Only a small problem with dark / black parts of video where the collor looks wrong but guess i just need to play with the settings inside CCC.

Thanks again for the help guys :D

    Merry Xmas to all.

    Regards

    Lars
