Hello,
I use MPMovieInfo which able import xml catalog (from AntMovieCatalog) into the videodatabase. (french forum, MPMovieInfo0.0.1.2_alpha.zip, MPMovieInfo_0.0.1.2_source.zip). This is great to have a fully updated database with description, pictures...

Unfortunately since last CVS (02-06-2006--21-41) it does not work anymore because of an error saying the database is readonly. Obviously, something changed ... Thanks for your help.

frodo has started to rewrite parts of the code and has done changes to the database.
please try the following cvs-snapshots and give us an update on your situation.
    thanks!

MediaPortal databases: On 05/02/2006 [11:50:22] _Frodo added the following change: cleaned up database code so we can easier migrate to other database servers

    Frodo is still doing changes.
for your next test please use a clean MediaPortal 0.2RC2 installation with latest cvs.

I suggest you do it like this:
    1. rename your MediaPortal directory to i.e. MediaPortalBackup
    2. run the setup.exe of MediaPortal 0.2RC2
    3. select "repair" this will create a MediaPortal directory -> clean install ;)
    4. apply the latest cvs-snapshot
    5. launch start.bat
    6. run setup
    7. start testing

to restore your previous MediaPortal installation you just have to rename your MediaPortal folder to i.e. MediaPortal Test
    and
    MediaPortalBackup to MediaPortal.

    quite easy :)

It seems that this problem is not caused by MediaPortal.
The problem is, that the plugin you are using needs to be updated to work with the new database of MediaPortal.

The same issue has been reported from other plugins like MyDVD which has been updated to work with latest CVS-Snapshots.
