Hi all,
I usually manage to find solutions and tips to my problems by searching the forums, but this one has me stumped, so I hope someone can help.
Up until a recent update of Mediaportal to 1.1.3 (I believe I had 1.1.0 before) I was able to access my various video folder via the video menu item.
Now, although it "appears" that I can access a couple of the folders, the content is incomplete (almost completely missing in one instance).
I have been reding up on the "video" set up notes, and whilst I have tried to follow these to solve the problem (to no avail) This was not a process I needed to do before.
I should clarify that in general I utilise the Moving Pictures, TV SEries, and Recorded TV options, but for a number of poorly named, or imported videos I just use the video option. The set up guide seems to be for importing videos in a manner similar to the other plug ins I mention above.
I am confused as to why I was able to previously browse the video files, yet now am no longer able. I have tried to track down where MP stores the video file lists (if it does) in order to backtrack the problem, but again, no success.
Has the functionality of videos changed to be less like a file explorer, and more like Moving Pictures? If so (or in fact either way) is there and alternate plug in or method to browse my video files?
Any and all help much appreciatted.
MediaPortal Version: 1.1.3
MediaPortal Skin: Streamed MP
Windows Version: 7 Ultimate
Would you believe it.. after three days of headaches, ten minutes after posting the question I have figured it out. Somehow some directories have become hidden? Seems somewhat random, and I have no idea how? but unhiding has solved the problem.
D'oh! .. D'oh! .. D'oh! .. D'oh! .. D'oh! .. D'oh! .. D'oh! .. D'oh! .. D'oh! .. D'oh! ..
