I just tore down and replaced the internals on my HTPC. I did all the windows updates and installed ffdshow.

Radeon 4850 video card
e8400 3.0 core 2
gigabyte ep35c mobo
videos are ISO rips of my dvd collection auto loaded via daemon tools

log files attached

When I try to play a movie, mediaportal triggers daemon to load the iso. Afterwards nothing happens. If I right click a movie and select play nothing happens.

any advice appreciatted.

Same here,

I installed RC1, on my machine wich always worked perfectly.
But now, no more ISO's....

I see a show popup and when that disapears, nothing happens.
Daemon Tools did not load the ISO.

When I load the ISO directly with Daemon Tools, it does work (but only for that loaded ISO..) when I want the play another ISO using MP, de first ISO will start. (hope I make sense)

You are not having the same problem as I am. You need to set the location for Daemon tools under general in MP configuration and set it to automount .iso/.bin files.

My problem is nothing happens. If I mount the iso manually with daemon tools and play it as a dvd or by doing it through my movies with automount. No indication whatsoever happens to indicate the play request.

Oh, :sorry: I thought it was the same problem.
Cause I already had pointed the location of daemon.exe and set is to automount in MP.
But nothing happens. :(

Still looking for the solution of my problem... It worked just fine till I installed RC1:confused:

Can also reproduce it here => will have a closer look :)

I also have this problem! Sometimes if you press the iso-file a second time (after it has been mounted by DT in the background), it starts to play. Another workaround is to first press the iso, which will get it mounted, and then go to "My Videos" and choose your mounted DVD-driver and play it from there!

But I would like this to be fixed so that it works like in the old days when the movie started playing imediately after mounting! :)

Again, this is not the problem this thread is about.

There is no workaround to play on my PC. I've done what you suggested and when you attempt to play an ISO DT mounted video in any fashion nothing happens.

Hmm,.. strange,... MP should not make any difference between regular drives and mounted ones,...

If you burn one of the non-playable ISO:s on a DVD and try to play it, does that work?
And if you try to play the mounted ISO in some other DVD player on the same computer, does that work?

Best Regards

I will try burning an iso to dvd and playing it. All other media players will play the mounted ISO's (WMP, WinDVD, PowerDVD ect)
