Hi stanik.
The first screenshot shows, that you have disable the letterbox detection completely (globally). Please uncheck the checkbox "disable the letterbox detection globally". Then the log entries regarding the letterbox should be appear and most likely the detection itself should work.

Now we have log entries regarding the letterbox detection... so we are one step further.
Are the rest of the settings still like the one I can see from your screenshots?
If yes, then you have to change the "Black level tolerance" back to something in the near of "0.1" or maybe "0,1" depending on your regional settings.
What I can say from the log file is that your signal does not look like a letterbox signal.
Normally the brightest colour is between 0 and 1.
0 is absolutely black, 1 is absolutely bright.
Your log looks like:
Letterbox detection started
BrightesColor in box ( 249, 259, 268, 57 ) is 0,4313726
Center box is nearly black: True
BrightesColor in box ( 288, 529, 192, 46 ) is 0,4666667
Lower box is nearly black: True
The values in the brackets are the coordinates and the size of the detection rectangles (x, y, width, height)
Normally the result of the lower (or upper) box should be less than 0,1 if there is a letterbox signal (black bars at the top and the bottom). Maybe the box is to big for your type of signal?! You can define the position and the size of the boxes via the config.
So two things to check now.
1. Set the "Black level tolerance" back to something like "0,1"
2. Check the results of the detection boxes via the log file.
If this does not help, try to post a sample video ( a short recording) of your signal somewhere.

I've honestly never been able to get this plugin to work, but I thought you and ziphnor were going to merge your two plugins into some kind of aspect ratio super-plugin so I didn't post logs or anything. If that's not the case I'd be happy to try and get it working. Let me know what your dev plan is, Ikuech! Thanks.

stanik: I guess that is the bug I have mentioned before .... It looks like the current version of the viewmode switcher has some problem with the SVN's sice there was some change regarding the zoom modes.
The problem seems to be gone if I recompile the plugin against the current SVN... but I'm not sure how the 0.2.3.0 RC1 behaves then...
I have attached version of the ViewmodeSwitcher 0.2 that has been recompiled against the current SVN.... It is not tested but should work normally. At least it should switch to the view mode that is really selected not some other one...
Noelix: Version 0.3 is coming soon with some minor improvements. For Version 0.4 I plan to make things easier for the users by integration a wizard that pop's up If a video format is played that does not fit any rule...
If that is done I plan to start the merge together with ziphnor.
EDIT: Removed attachment. New version is out!

This is how it should work.
The "Global disabling" must be unchecked (otherwise the letterbox function is disabled completely) and the letterbox detection must be enabled in the rule that reflects the video format that contains the letterbox signal (normally it is a 4:3 rule).
