This is a long standing issue and I have never seen much talk about it... It is a biggie, though it does not happen too often.
Basically if you get a prompt like virtual keyboard or lets say in mvids the prompt asking you what song matches your files or other in this nature.. Some time it can loose focus either by another prompt like "recording coming up" or "cd dvd finished ripping" the current item will loose focus and you are unable to return back to it..
There for you are unable to close it, and it just sits at front of your display. At this point you have to terminate mediaportal as there is no way out... I've had this problem since the beginning, that is about a year...
