Hi all,

Hope you guys can help me out. I just did a fresh install of Vista 32 Ultimate. Now this is the first time i'm working with Vista so please bear with me. Everytime i start up MP Config or MP itself Vista asks me if i trust this program. Ofcourse i do so i want to get rid of this message. I already tried right clicking the desktop icon and starting MP config or MP as admin but still it asks me. After i configged MP correctly i want to start MP automatically but how do i get rid of the messages?

I just reinstalled my vists ultimate 32 and installed RC4

I'm running as admin, so no questions to run mediaportal client or to trust it.

I changed the admin user to autologin. So thats also working fine.
And the client is starting each time the machine wakes from sleep.

I also run Vista using the Admin Account....which is fine if you only use the PC for MediaPortal. You could also switch the User Account Control (UAC) off in Vista; this will stop Vista doing this...

Could you try the following?

Hi SMa, it all depends on how you see UAC....many Vista users see it as a pain Think about it, XP worked fine without it...what makes it such a good thing in Vista If you only use your PC as dedicated HTPC there is no danger in switching this off....or using the Admin Account

Well i must agree running as admin is not perfect...
I even didnt realise it was the admin before a frind told me so ( Do i realy have to read what vista says when i install it )

But it works... So folowing the good old rule.. If it works.. Dont fix it

None of it worked SMA so i turned off the UAC. Now its just like running XP and it works like a charm. Unfortunately the UAC is off but as this is a MP dedicated HTPC i'm not worried.
