Hey Gals and Guys,

Got a little issue and i'd appreciate some input. So as you can see, I'm running Vista Ultimate, installed MP and I'm using cyberlink PDVD8 for h264 and for video and audio codecs. Everything else works flawlessly, except for TV.

I'm using EVR, Klite Full Pack [latest] and the wdm drivers for the cable card. the free channel shows fine, but other channels show black, stutter or stutter really badly.

Any suggestions? I've tried CoreAVC 1.9, elecard avc decoders but they stutter worse than the cyberlink. Appreciate the replies

    Hi there

Maybe it can be the fame discard issue of tsreader.

To disable frame discard just add an empty file "c:\RelaxTsReaderForBadReception.txt" at the root level.

See this thread for more (much more) detail.

Ok, I reinstalled XP, used Catalyst 8.5 and have 4gb of RAM with a E2180 overclocked to 2.4ghz. I get 14 out of 71 channels LOL, and either stutter or straight up black screen. Using Cyberlink 8 for everything.

    Help!!

I use XP also this is what i use (i have a Dual Core 4200+ with onboard HD3200 video) we have h264 channels here.

    XP SP3
    ATI 8.12
PDVD8 Ultra, upgraded to version 2217aU
    MPCVideodex.ax (manually registered)
Mkv splitter (Can't spell it matrovosk or what ever its called)
No other codecs installed on system
Also - don't forget that WMP11 can auto download codecs when you play media files.

I assume you have h.a. working (CPU ~5% - 20% when running MP in windowed mode with live TV)

    Yup! This works perfect with the HD3200 and PDVD8. CPU (4850e) ~1-5% playing h.264 files. 1080P :D
DXVA doesn't work with VC-1 files, but who cares(?)

    Thanks, kiwijunglist!
