Hi Ray, Thanks for all your notes and links - much appreciated. First up, Power settings definately set so no password required. Just so I understand it, does Task Scheduler definately require a password to be defined when setting up a task to work so the next run time is populated after reboot? If so, from the testing I have done, the PC will always stall after a reboot. Please note, I have not setup the Administrator as per your link - using this user, will the password issue on reboot disappear? I was hoping I could simply assign Administrator rights to my existing user, but this did not work. Given that I have had this setup since installing Media Portal, I'm sort of reluctant to start using another user - is there a way around this? Anyway, where I got to last night was that when I set a password on a user A/c, it would reboot and come up saying I have not entered a correct password. I then select my user, enter the password and I'm up and running ... however the next run time still does not get created anyway. As mentioned previously, I have tried creating a task as the Administrator (setup without the instructions in your link) and this didn't work either. I guess what I'm asking is, do you think the Administrator setup as explained in your link will then require a password in Task Scheduler (which I enter) and then on reboot, not ask (just login) and then re-schedule?? Hope the above makes sense ... feeling a bit tired and now off to bed!! Regards Graham
