vista64 file denial (1 Viewer)

I need some help
I think this a vista64 security problem and I dont know how to fix it

Tried to load an extention and got this (this is the first line on the window that popped up)

"Access to the path ' c:\program file (x86)\team mediaportal\plugins\external player\asio.interop.dll is denied"

NB - this happening to all the extentions that I try to install (slightly different wording ,different .dll ,same denial

Are you using a admin account to install plugins.

there is only one account user and they have admin rights ( as this machine is to be a media centre only in the lounge )
there has been no password set as i want the machine when turned on to go straight to MP
would having no password set make a difference?

Password should be irrelevant, but I still think it may be windows screwing with permissions, not sure why this even happens but have seen it a couple of times on running a normal admin account.

You might want to consider automatic account logon vista, automatically logic to user in vista, select default account to log on in vista, logon automatically with default selected user account, » Triponic, this does allow password, juist makes it unnecessary to logon

Both work for Win7 as well.

Before doing any of the above you might want to try just opening the file location c:\program file (x86)\team mediaportal, do you get a prompt saying you do not have permission.

And check out your plugin is really stored in c:\program file (x86)\team mediaportal\plugins\

and not here: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins

This is the place where edited files (config, xml, ...) of plugins been stored to drive the editor into the insanity, because there is no effect by editing files in the original place
