VODServer - Watch internet streams as TV channels (1 Viewer)

I would stay away from the vodserver-service-test.xml and just modify the .m3u that it comes with and use the regular /play function.
It's been too long since I used it and I can't really get into detail here at work.

I have a similar problem like marirs mentioned in post #4.
I can scan and watch the following online channel with success.

The problem is that the token (red marked in the link) is changing every few minutes. So my question is, is therefor a solution? I think the solution from rsenden is only for rtsp and I didn't understand how to use that. Does anybody know how to solve that problem?

Hi!

I'm a bit stuck up with the app.

1. If I use channel references, can I always use ffmeg for rtmp-streams but not rtmpdump?
I didn't find any option for it.

2. I can't watch *.m3u8, although with VLC it is OK.

3. I tried to make a chennel list of my own - vodservice-service-mparserchannels.xml

3. Can I use non-latin letters for channel names?

Can any give me a step by step idiots guide in doing this i just cant seem to do it. I am trying to stream sky sports via media portal. I have a link m3u8 link which works via vlc but i cant figure out how to add this using VODserver into media portal.

I would try with MediaPortal IPTV filter and url source splitter
That should (theoretically) work with most streams if you have a m3u8 file with that stream in it

Thanks for your feedback. I don't have m3u8 file only this link NRK1 - Direkte - NRK TV which is https.
So I was hoping vodserver could convert this so i can use m3u file in tv-server and add it there.

Is this possible with this NRK1 channel ?

you have to have an account or a norwegion vpn for that, so I can't tell if there's anything usable in there (either for vodserver or IPTV or Onlinevideos)

OK, but is there some limitations to the vodserver when it comes to https// adresses ?
I have added this in VODServer.m3u like this:

#EXTINF:2,NRK1

http://127.0.0.1:9999/channel?id=NRK1

and in vodserver-service-channels.xml like this:

<entry key="NRK1"
value="/playFromPage?url=NRK1 - Direkte - NRK TV" />

but I get no signal during scanning.
