Hi,
i have a volume problem with MP1.3.0. All sounds and Volumes (also TV and Video) are very quiet.
The HDMI Volume Settings and WAV settings are pulled full up, Windows 7 (32bit) Main-Screen is normal in the sound levels. This appears only in MP.
I have a E35m1-i deluxe Mainboard with WIN7 32bit system and the latest drivers.
Is there someone with the same fault ?

Regards
Philipp

Please check the MediaPortal volume value in windows mixer -> https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-ac3-files-playing-movies.114868/#post-946702

And set Volume setting in MP Config to "Master Volume" ->
MP Config -> General -> Volume Settings:

I do have the same problem sometimes.
To get the sound back To get the sound back I have to use the procedure that @Holzi has described.
I have this problem with both volume settings of MePo, Master or Wave does not make a different.

I can reproduce it with the following steps:
Within some videos or recorded tv-shows the volume osd appears when I'm forwarding or coming back from forward to play.
When I'm stopping one of this videos MePo is muted.

    logs will follow ...

I have captured the case. I'm able to reproduce the behaviour.
    Steps to reproduce:
    • Start a recorded TV
    • ff (Now the volume overlay is shown with "one dot")
    • stop the recorded TV while ff it
    • look into windows mixer (@Holzi has described how to do here)
    • see that the MePo Volume is set to minimum

I've tried to reproduce this, but I can't (using the standard keyboard shortcuts - F5 & F6 - to control FFWD). Tried with Titan and Default Wide skins.

Can you reproduce this problem using F5 & F6 ?

    @Owlsroost:
I can reproduce the behavior on demand with F6 and "B".
The volume osd was shown and MePo was muted in the mixer.

I have captured the case with the MePo debug start option.

During FFWD MP does change the volume to minimum (so you don't hear the screechy audio) and then sets it back to the original level. I'll take a look at the code in case the 'restore to normal' change isn't happening in a particular situation.

For me, the volume OSD never appears when going into FFWD.

I have reproduced the case in 1.30RC. It is still reproducible on demand for me.

    Steps to reproduce:

    • Start a recorded TV or a movie out of MyVideo
    • ff (Now the volume overlay is shown with "one dot")
    • stop the recorded TV while ff it
    • look into windows mixer (Holzi has described how to do here)
    • see that the MePo Volume is set to minimum
