I've set the MAC address in MP1 client in order to wake up server machine upon startup. The server machine would not start up yet other WOL client software I use will successfully wake up my server machine via magic packets. I used Wireshark to investigate and attempted to search for any traffic on UDP port 9, after starting up MP1 on client machine. Wireshark did not find any network traffic on UDP port 9. Using other WOL client software, I could see the magic packets on UDP port 9 via wireshark.
Consequently, my question is, does MediaPortal client's Wake on LAN feature actually work? What port number is it using to send the magic packets? I have disable the auto configure of the server MAC address and manually entered the correct server MAC address. Are there any other settings that I have missed.
Thanks in anticipation.
