wake up, record, go hibernate/shutdown (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

I was going to suggest using the OS power management instead of MePo powerscheduler idle/inactivity option. But does the OS Power Management detect/class a TV recording as activity?

So in theory use powerscheduler to wake the PC, but rely on The OS to shut it down? This way if you are using the PC (irrespective of what you are doing) the OS won't shutdown, but if its off then it will be woken?

well this is enlightening.

I can see from your perspective why it makes sense to you:

as it is designed for systems where MediaPortal is the central hub to all of the PC's activity)

I do many more, and different things, with my PC, so MP cannot serve this purpose for me.

I'll ponder the idea of having Firefox (I'm not using iexplorer) running no matter what, for the sake of being able to record a film or something every once in a while (don't forget to stop Frefox if you want to do that...)
