WOL powermanger plugin does all that is required. Feature isn't needed.

...but WOL-PowerManager is a plugin and NOT under development of the MP-Team. For a long time, WOL-Plugin wasn't compatible for 1.3 Alpha. I thing, WOL for networkfolder should be a core-feature and under developement of the MP-Crew. So it would be a part of every new release...
