Hello everyone,

I really like MovingPictures but there is one thing I either don't know how to do or which is simply not possible. What I mean is importing my dvds into the database WITHOUT needing to put every dvd into drive and let MovingPictures import it - what often doesn't work since the dvds have very informative titles like "dvd-1" or so.
Is it not possible to just tell MovingPictures that I got that and that dvd and it adds those to the database with all information and pictures needed? If that is not possible won't it be a nice feature?

Future enhancement to allow off-line import are already present on the tracker.

The main ticket in question = Issue 523 - moving-pictures - Support Import of Offline DVDs via UPC Scanning - Project Hosting on Google Code

Which should cover your scenario as well. So you have to be patient and wait, join the developer discussions and help them code it in, or keep manually adding your collection by inserting the media and correcting any bad titles that are not auto-detected.
