:D mm,
That is good information. Are you aware of any file conversion processes that I can script and put in a batch file for scheduled execution. Free is good, but I would consider buying something if it looked like the right product and would meet my needs.

Thanks again,
Gene

    Hi again Gene

    Well I might be able to offer advice, but it really depends on what format you're converting from and what format you want to convert to (and by "format", I don't just mean TS - I mean the video and audio encoding formats). The thing is that the WDTV live specs say it supports the following audio formats:

    MP3, WAV/PCM/LPCM, WMA, AAC, FLAC, MKA, AIF/AIFF, OGG, Dolby Digital, DTS

    AC3 == Dolby Digital

    This leaves me unsure as to why you would have had problems in the first place, unless the WDTV live couldn't handle AC3 in a TS container or didn't like something about the format of the video or audio as encoded by your provider...

    So yeah - what format are you starting with and where do you want to go with it. A MediaInfo print out on one of the recordings that didn't play nicely would help.
