Web Browser - Just Grey Screen (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Version: 1.1.0.0
MediaPortal Skin: Streamed MP
Windows Version: W7


Hey, the web broswer within MP only shows a grey screen. I have tried setting home page to 'http://www.google.com' and just 'http://google.com' (without italics of course) and all i get is a grey screen.

My weather and other internet connected bits like TV Series are working well from within MP - and i don't get the W7 firewall asking for access when i use MP brower. I have tried resetting firewall and restarting MP but no go.

Do i have to allow gecko or something else from within MP out through the firewall manually?

Same here. I just did a fresh instal on 1.1.0 final, I guess it doesnt work unless you download some dlls that are mentioned elsewhere.

I never could get mine working. Gave up for now.:sorry:

Sam problem here, just a white screen... Anyone have any insight into how to get this working?

The first time i opened it, I got the blank screen. After hitting the "Prev" button on my remote, I returned to the main menu. Upon launching the plugin a second time, it ldisplayed the home page.

But since the only controls that appear to work are the up and down arrows, it wasn't very useful to me.

yeah, i found that if i push the back arrow and them re-enter web browser it seems to work.

i think you'll find it in plugins.....

searched both mp-configuration/plugins & MP extension installer.. did not find it.

Download and reinstall it, should be enable by default

Damn - download ? - I thought it was supposed to be seen somewhere in MP-configuration or extension installer.

this is a problem with MP
-some plugins are in MP-Configuration (ok)
-some are in extension installer (ok - mostly uninstalled)
-Some are in forum threads
-and some in the download page of team-mediaportal.

-some are in both the last places, and one must search and compare, because only one is the current version...

This is confusing & annoying - I hope somebody will try to fix the problem soon (create a common place for all plugins)
