Why are people putting the TVguide.xml into the WebEPG/ directory?

It is downloaded into this directory ?

OK, the location seems to have changed since I last checked. Bear with me not knowing every single change which is implemented into MediaPortal. I cannot track every little change, since the amount of information contained in this forum superseeds human capabilities by now

Ok, after several tries, double checked all the faq, forums & WiKi, resinstaller MP 0.2.3 RC3, the result are the same:

- i launch webepg conf to check the channel data & web data
- il launch webepg to create the xml files and grab the data
= the TVguide.xml is good and full of correct data

But : i put this file to /WebEPG subfolder or /XMLTV subfoler
Result : no EPG data in MP

So, is there anything to configure in MP to access these data ?

The clue is Vista, a lot of the bits are installed in Program Data (hidden folder) so you would have to put it in the xmltv folder there.

You will always know the correct folder because it has a DTD Document file in it.

Thanks "Paranoid Delusion" and all others too, this last hint works : in Vista, i've put the TVGuide.xml into the "Program Data/Team Mediaportal/XMLTV" subfolder and everthing's works now (but i had to launch 2 times MP to see the EPG.

Now, to finish about WebEPG : how can i schedule the update of the EPG guide ? (i've read a thread about a plugin about this, but unable to refind it).
