    @ judicla,
    @ all,

The webinterface is right now NOT working with MP 0.1.0.6/0.1.0.7!!!

Because of the new TV engine and the integration of DVB-support MPs database structure has changed. The error above is a result from a renamed table.

Right now you have 3 choices what you can do:
    1. Don't install the new version(s) and stay with your old where the webinterface worked.
    2. Find all the renamed tables and change the references to them in the php files.
    3. Give me some days to update the webinterface to the new structure.

For the 3rd option "some days" really means some days becaue I just began to rewrite the code right from the start. The new version will use functions for all important operations. So it's easier to implement future changes and it gives the code a much better structure.

So please be patient, work is done on this :)

    MPWebControl for MP 0.1.0.6/0.1.0.7

Ok, all you impatient people  , here's some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is that the web interface rewrite is not done yet, and so there are no new features.

The good news is that I have edited the PHP files to account for the database changes, and I've uploaded the new version on to the web server. So, if you download the file now from the same link, you will have the changes required for MP 0.1.0.6/0.1.0.7.

    Have fun!

I understand you guys are working on this, but a few questions as I have been off the subject for a while.

    1. is this working on pocketpc, or do we need to still point only at the topbar?

    2. will I be able to view databases other than tv, mainly I am interested in browsing throught my music or video files, or maybe internet radio stations, with my ppc to control what plays on my tv (or stereo in the case of music, no tv, ppc shows me songs in database)?

    Thanks.

Unfortunately, the answer is no for both questions.

In relation to point 1, my plan was to write a PocketPC application that communicated with MP via WiFi. I had it planned out, but unfortunately, I changed my mind on getting a Pocket PC (was going to get the o2 XDA II Mini).

If anyone is interested in writing one, I can help with the communication part via my External Control Plugin, which is currently undergoing a rewrite.

In relation to point 2, Maschine is the main person to talk to about the development of the web interface (although I must say that I haven't implemented any functions to control the music module in my plugin...). I think the current plans are to clean-up the code then work on a handheld interface for the TV module.

I just updated to 0.1.0.8 and realised that in this version, some of the code that I've been using in MP has been deleted, breaking a part of my plugin.

The topbar will not be able to tell you what's playing anymore until I fix it. All other features in the web interface should continue to work.

    New version available!

    Hi everybody,

finally the rebuild of the webinterface is done! Go and grab the new installer!

You won't notice many obvious changes. The new things are mainly in the core to help us developers to react better on f.e. database changes without rewriting everything. The installer also contains Sam's external control plugin version 2.

Upgrade instructions (if you had an earlier webinterface-version installed):
    -Stop the webserver
    -Close MP
-Uninstall the old version from the system control panel
    -Run the new installer

The next things on my list are to improve the search function and support for series recording.

Have fun with the new version! Feedback is - as always - highly appreciated ;-)

    Hi Maschine,

I installed your package, but I can't get the apache2 service work.
    The manual server start works.

The only thing what I don't like at all is, that I do have to install 50MBs for a small interface. Isn't there a smaller server for PHP?

I only know Cassini (0,7MB), but this only works with ASP .NET
