I don't use any optional plugins, so I cannot tell you what to preserve. These files may or may not be usable by the 64-bit version of the plugins. Note: not all plugins are available as 64-bit; the popular ones are, but the more obscure ones may not be.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">After installing 64-bit MP, restore all of these files. However, on my system (an Intel Q6600 CPU running on a Western Digital 5400 rpm green drive), I did not notice any difference when I installed 64-bit MP. But your kilometerage may vary.Longer term, Intel have stated that they intend producing a range of processors that lack the ability to run 32-bit applications, and Microsoft will do the same for Windows.
