Hi Folks,

As my current Mac mini is now serving as htpc running MP since at least 6 years, it is now time to go for an upgrade. Here is what I have:
Sony 46" TV
Marantz SR6004
Synology NAS, so no storage issues
PS3 for DVD/BluRay

What I want:
Audio/Video via HDMI
No noise
FullHD support
Being ready for MP2 when it is final.
Being ready to maybe later add a tv server, I don't watch tv at the moment.
Boot and shutdown time must be very short!
Startup via remote would be nice

I don't have much time so buying a system would be nice, but I would be willing to assemble it by myself if there are clear advantages.
I really like the Mac mini design, so something nice looking is a must!

Any hints for me?

Thanks in advance,
Tom

    Agree with the above...

    Streacom case
    i3/i5 CPU
    SSD for OS
    8GB RAM (cos its cheap)
MS MCE IR compatible receiver with a decent remote (as the streacom one is rubbish)
