I will keep this as simple as i can
I raised a feature request last year, and someone told me it would be in media Portal 2 ( I had great excitement ). And then tonight i read the developers schedule and find out Media Portal 2 will not be available for 4 years
I am not a programmer " actually I am a senior systems engineer", but in the end up. can it not be decided by the community at large to stop enhancements to version 1 so that the developers ( who i understand have little time as it is ) can work exclusively on version 2.
Lets face it, "Version1 is excellent" and most of the additional tweaks and even most bugs are a time waster when compared to the larger scope
I love media portal - but this time line for release is toooo long ( even though i understand its reasoning) I don't know if i can stay loyal to this, specifically because of the feature set i wish to see in v2 far out weighs the little bugs that appear ( P.S to date i have only experienced one )
It may just be me, and i invite feedback for discussion, so i dont seem like i am ranting
Regards, Alan
