What version LAV filters were installed with MP1.3.0 ? (LAV 0.56.x MP1.4.0 is no good) (1 Viewer)

I got lots of problems (horizontal tearing/image that's only noise with subtitles) after installing MP1.4.0
MP 1.4.0 brought LAV 0.56.2 (I think) - I found 0.57 - but that did not fix anything.

I'd like to install the version that came with MP1.3.0
Cound someone please read the codec settings page that contains the number ?
Or even better: post a screenshot with teh codec default values ?

I have tearing and only noise not video with subtitles enabled.
No LAV installed.

It would depend when you installed it. LAV was always installed via MPEI picking up the latest version at the time.

You can install older versions of LAV directly (https://code.google.com/p/lavfilters/downloads/list - choose installer)

Does video with subtitles look like in my case?

All was perfect with 1.3.0 for me. There are definetely MP bugs not codec issues.

Goto http://lavfilters.googlecode.com/git/CHANGELOG.txt
Grab the version that corresponds with whatever date you installed MP1.3 Final, if you installed MP1.3Final as soon as it was released then use the date of the release and match that up with the LAV changelog

ok, It's NOT the codecs.
It's 1.4.0 on XP, it's simply no good - even fast page-dn (via remote or keyboard) have unusual delays.
Playing most videos have strange artifacts, or dipslays soem funky stuff.

1.3.0 works fine on the same hardware with latest LAV codec.

-I also installed win7 on another SSD, then 1.4.0 - it too works fine. - so it's something with XP and 1.4.0

What is your vsync setting in CCC? (It's under 3D)
Are you using VMR9 renderer? (It's under MP Config->Codecs & Renderers)
Do you have dropped frames? How many. (Shift+1, post screenshot)
