What's the best way to install multiple skins? (2 Viewers)

I might be overthinking things now, but earlier years, when you installed a skin, you installed a skin. These days alot of the skins comes in packages with a bunch of plugins, and I'm worried that if I install StreamedMP and then install Mustayaluca, Maya and Avalon one of the installs will mess up a previous install, is this something I should be worried about, or can I just install the full package for each of the skins?

I've got the same things in my mind.

I don't know why but I was never able to install a clean working streamed mp.
Perhaps I'm silly but in my opinion requiring plugins for a skin isn't the idea behind modular plugins / skins mechanisms.

I'm using MyFilms instead of MovingPictures for example. So I don't want to install MovingPictures only to get a skin up and running. And than there is the point that the skin can never really include the newest version of a plugin because meanwhile there could be a new one.

Do I understand something wrong or is it the idea of the MP developers to create such plugin + skin packages?

I'm always trying to create a small and easy to install / use htpc and every software which is installed and doesn't has to is to much and can bring problems with it.

What skinners bundle with their skins is up to them. Most allow you the option to not install certain items. If you want skin only installers you need to ask the skin developers for these.

Thank you for responding, but that's not really what I'm asking though. What I'm looking to find out is what the best way to install multiple of these packages, can I install StreamedMP, Maya and Mustayaluca without them overwriting some important file for eachother?

I have never had problems with installing multiple skins...

Also, many people install/recommend streamedmp excactly because they like one installer install all the important stuff.

Thank you that's what I wanted to know. How do you install them? Do you install everything from all, or do you first install the full StreamedMP and then choose not to install plugins that's installed with StreamedMP when you install Maya?

i install multiple skins well all the working skins to be honset , never have a problem with one overriting anther....

i first install all plugin i use , check first thir is no problem with DW skin , then install all skins with no extra plugin just the skin and his basic home editor , just uncheck the plugin to not install again ....

all do i can recemend to install StreameMP firest with all plugin ( the devloper keep all plugin they supply must update)

then rest skins chose not to install any plugin just the skin with his home editor ,

Well to be honest I mostly just install streamedmp/avalon/maya/whatever with all plugins... As I mostly install a new skin when there is an update for it, it'll be the latest version anyways. And if not, many plugins already use mpei so I can update easily if neccessary...
