Zicoz - you are correct, if you install a skin that installs the latest versions of plugins, and there are skin changes in those plugins that require updates, then skins that have not updated the skin files to the latest version won't work. So you do need to be cautious if you have multiple skins installed. However, as others have stated, it is not that often that plugins require major skin changes. Usually they will work, just without the new features. And when there are major plugins that require skin changes, most skins update pretty quickly. Nevertheless, I have run into the problem several times and I no longer install any plugins with skins. I prefer to install the plugins via MPEI and only when the skins that I use have updated skin files for them (if required).
