[solved] When playing music Fanart does not appear immediately after downloading (2 Viewers)

I try ... This is a hobby, so it’s interesting to find solutions to problems.

But why for the DB key "tiesto pres allure" the MBID of the second artist is stored instead of the first artist's MBID?

This result returned the site search ID, why, I do not know. For the artist Tiësto pres. Allure, 3 searches are performed (Tiësto pres. Allure, Tiësto, Allure) and each must be saved.

FH tries to reduce the number of visits to sites, so the search for the ID is carried out at the initial request for the selected providers, if the ID is not found, then the FH searches for pictures by artist name, and if the picture is found and there is an ID in the response of one of their sites, then FH saves it for further use.

If we consider a bad option, then there may be such a scenario:

• Query ID by providers, did not return the result. Network failure, the one provider and did not find such an Artist, there are no providers at all, etc.
• Requesting a picture by Artist Name on provider 1 did not return the result.
• Requesting a picture by Artist Name on provider 2 did not return the result.
• Requesting a picture by Artist Name on provider 3 returned a picture but without an artist ID.
• Requesting a picture by Artist Name on provider 4 returned the picture but with the artist ID. The artist’s ID will be saved, and FH will no longer search for the ID on the sites for this Artist.

Thanks for explaining!

This behaviour conflicts with the recent setting for MBID providers. An MBID for an artist is determined by a provider which actually was excluded.

But I just saw that in my case there's an alias for Allure:

It's good to see that the new alias search works!

The refresh on new downloaded Fanarts for an artist with existing Fanarts in the DB seems to work perfect now. Good job!
And the conversion from local to online Fanarts made the search processing very much faster.
And MusicBrainz as single MBID provider works perfectly fine with thousands of tracks.

An idea to make the Fanart search processing even more faster is to mark online Fanarts with lower file size and similar Fanarts in the database to not download them again on future searches e. g.:

Another question:
The artist name "Vera Klima feat. Max Mutzke" got split into to artist searches, "Vera Klima" and "Max Mutzke".
For both the name was resolved to the correct MBID.
For the first artist no Fanart was found, for the second one Fanart.
In my FH configuration the separator " feat. " is defined.
All seems correct to me but the Fanart of "Max Mutzke" is not displayed, only the default backgrounds, even when I stop and replay that song.
What's wrong?
