Quality settings only work for Hauppauge PVR 150, 250, 350, 500 Cards!

I'am confused. Why was i alowed to set the quality settings then ???

And why did it not record the resolution and bitrate that was transmitted as i was told all DVB-T broadcasts would be ??

I know the broadcast was 720p 1280by720 it was not recorded in that res more like the res i said a few posts back ?

    Thanks.

Paul, as people are trying to tell you all the time. Whatever you set there, as long as you record DVB stuff, it has absolutely NO effect, cause the quality is provided by the transmitting station.

For DVB the received stream is written to the disc AS IS, without any quality degration or modification.

Those settings ONLY take effect for analog TV.

The thing is the program was 720p and that should have recorded the program in 1280 by720, but it recorded the show in 720by576 ???

If you say is true it must have been my error and i selected the SD channel instead of the HD channel. SD would be 720by576 right :)

Ill record some HD stuff and see what happes from the HD channel this time. Was not taking much attention on the channel type at the time :)

    Thanks.
