Like i said, the only combination i've seen working for DVB-C in the netherlands is:

    -FireDTV-C
    with Alphacrypt cam v3.05

    and offcourse the subscription smartcard.
Works for casema, tvhome, multikabel and prolly others as well

Pitty, FireDTV works with FireWire, I don't have such a connection on my mobo.

On a dutch forum (tweakers.net) someone has DVB working with tvhome with a Hauppauge Nova CA+Alphacrypt CAM+ some other CI module. He is not using MP, though. If you understand dutch:
    http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list_messages/1091408/

Which leads me to the conclusion that the reason you've not seen other combinations working, is lack of MP support (no offence). Am I right?

I bought a Conceptronic FireWire PCI card and the FloppyDTV stuff.

It works! I selected the Intervideo NonCSS codecs for Hauppauge and now I have excellent picture and sound on all channels. However, when I select a channel for which I don't have a supscription, it can take a while before MP starts responding to user-input.

Also: Some frequencies are "missing" in DVB-c Symbolrate 6875 file. I had to add:
    450000,64QAM,6875000
    514000,64QAM,6875000
    546000,64QAM,6875000
    586000,64QAM,6875000
    650000,64QAM,6875000
    658000,64QAM,6875000
    666000,64QAM,6875000
    682000,64QAM,6875000
    714000,64QAM,6875000
    762000,64QAM,6875000
    794000,64QAM,6875000

Finally Multikabel can also be added to the list of DVB-C providers that MP is capable of displaying.

    eehm, Frodo:

It seems like UPC has got some kind of check between the serial number and the hardware. Therefore it is not supposed to workt for UPC subscribers  , check http://www.degroeneknop.nl/forum/in...1fce6f&action=post;topic=926.0;num_replies=18
I sent a message to UPC to check, but it doesn't look too good.

Do you know anything about your setup working for UPC??

As of today, I no longer have sound on three German channels: ARD, Sat1 and ProSieben. I removed the PMT files, but that didn't help.

Edit: I now have sound. Tried a few other audio codecs.

    Suggestions, anyone?
