I searched a little bit in the site and in Google but couldn't find the answer to this question?

So does somebody have DVB-S card which is working fine together with DiSEqC Motor? I need a CI also.

The card/device needs to support DiSEqC 1.2 to work with motorised dishes.
Check with the manufacturer of the card if they have this support in their BDA driver and the card provides enough power to be able to work with your motorised dish.

It's very rare for a PCI card to be able to do this.
I know the TwinhanDTV Sat-CI (1034 Mantis) works with MediaPortal for this functionality.

    DIsEQc PC cards (more info)

Both the Twinhan 1034 and the FloppyDTV-S2 support being motorised and they both have CI. Also the later SkySat card has an additional CI module but not sure if it supports motorised - check out a supplier like HiSat.

(I've got the first two, but only the FloppyDTV-S2 is installed, going to a 36V motor via a SuperJack positioner - feel very sorry for my wallet...)

But the RC1 TV engine has a problem with configuration as is mentioned in another post (not started by me).

Although it easily moves the dish using the tab in the TVEngine setup it refuses to scan more than one bird and thus far there isn't a sensible workaround for this.

I am impressed by MediaPortal and am trialling it replacing everything TV related (Sky, FreeView and multi Satellite) and the install is SO much easier than just a couple of months ago!

But some things are still outstanding and (reasonably so) you never know when they'll get looked at. (Crumbs! These people must have lives somewhere as well!)

Having said that, an awful lot of the functionality is already there and the feature freeze might 'allow' the developers to look at some of these 'sticking points' - as a working developer I know how hard it is to track down bugs, especially if all you've got to go on is a log and a vague description!

The only changes I see are: Updated Marcel Groothuis version of the plugin to now support Media Portal 2.5 I can't say anything about the functionality of this plugin, I don't use TV Part, but if there are any changes that can be simply transferred, then I can try. But I can't give any guarantees.

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
