I think It boils down to this: We are all impatiently waiting for the beta because we know what to expect: Great stuff!

Thanks Acoustics - and no worries, I understand the impatience, which is actually a good sign - I think of it more as eagerness.

Trust me, the team is just as eager to get beta released! After so many months of work we are also impatient to move forward. Unfortunately we cannot control how much time everyone has. Family, health, work and 'real life' come first - at least in theory. I think most of our families would argue that MP comes first

The addition of Titan is another major accomplishment, especially as it already offers some of the new skin features in 1.3.0 beta. Sure it may not be essential for all existing users, but it has already generated more press than we have had in a while. Let's face it, eye candy is good PR! Although the benefits of that may not be obvious at first, it attracts new users, new developers, new extension developers and we all end up reaping the rewards.

I have been using MediaPortal for almost 6 years for everything, live TV, Videos, Music, Pictures, everything. I used to regularly instal other media center software to see if there is anything better, but I ALLAYS returned to MediaPortal. MP may not look the best and not be the smoothest, but in terms of functions, scalability and usability it knocks the socks off EVERYTHING else out there! With the release of 1.3 beta the 'may not look the best and not be the smoothest' issues might just be resolved. I can not recommend MediaPortal enough, my 4 year old son loves it, just chuck him the remote and he's off.
Keep up the amazing work of the best Media Center software out there.

Really looking forward to this release, i smell success and you all deserve plenty of praise for a truly amazing product, and to say its developed in peoples spare time is just also amazing! Hope you all have a great xmas and new year and relax a little and enjoy families as thats whats most important !!

Completely delighted with the new look of the standard skin and Titan, and almost apoplectic with joy that most settings are now adjustable in-app. Well done all: coders, skinners, developers, planners, administrators, ideas-guys, commentators, complainers, arses and fans. It all combines to make this THE software of choice.
