Yeah, I did something similar in perl. Basically, just add DBI:

Due to a harddisk crash all my php scripts are lost
Unfortunalty I do not have enough spare time at the moment to re-write them but I hope that I will have some time to code after christmas.
I will let you know if there is something new.
