WHS 2011 and MP (1 Viewer)

I have read of TV4 on WHS2011, but I have no interest in recording TV on with MP.
Have a dual tuner HD Tivo for that. Just wanted to know if WHS2011 would allow MP to run so I could combine my PC's into one box?

okay. so i guess since whs2011 is based on server 2008 r2 and mediaportal is said to run on server 2008 it should run atop this installation. i think i will go with that.

Yes, you'll be able to install on WHS2011 or Server 2008 r2 - it will just give you a warning about it since we don't support those operating systems.

Its up and running. Some driver issues with Server 2008 r2 core of the WHS 2011 installation, but resolved.

Does anyone know how to rid myself of the warning message every time MediaPortal opens telling me my OS is incompatible?
Thats rather annoying.

As far as I'm aware you can't get rid of the warning without changing the code and recompiling.
