WHS and Media Portal - How do they play? (2 Viewers)

Im looking to use Windows Home Server and stream my movies from the server to my HTPC... How should mediaPortal be configured to use this setup? IT seems to me that mediaPortal is a local application. What happens if I have multiple HTPCs? How can I replicate the database accross my HTPCs?

Note that MediaPortal is not officially supported on WHS.

I do however have the TVServer component and all stored Media (music and Video) and the databases running a Win2003 Enterprise Server and all my clients (the viewing PC's) are on Win XP SP3.
