Hello,

When I program a TV recording of 2 hrs or less, everything works fine including waking up and hibernating the PC by Power Scheduler. However, when the programmed duration of the recording is longer than 2 hrs, it will never stop. TV Server goes on recording forever - or until I shut down the PC. Does anybody have an idea what´s wrong?

Would definately need logs for this one, use MPTestTool from the start menu to gather logs and upload using the advanced + feature, obviously the logs have to be from straight after this issue happens.

    Thanks

and also, as I have found on my own system sometimes the post recording setting can become corrupt (very rarely and seems to be caused by something other than MP).

Can you open the schedules table in the database and see what the post-record times are? they should be something sensible like 5 (minutes) or whatever you have set.
While in there, you could also check the start and end times are correct for recodrings that you know have malfunctioned.
If all is correct there, then there must be some bug in MP but if the times are out, then it looks like something has stuffed up your database (still could be MP bug) but as Ray has said, logs and SVN versions are the most important thing here...

    Hello,

thank you very much for reading and answering my post. I did a new recording after starting MP with the test tool. Programmed was a recording of 2.5 hrs. Settings in the TVService are: 5 min pre and 10 min postrecording. When I came back 3hrs after starting the recording, MP hang (it usually does). I had to shutdown it with the Taskmanager. The log files that the test tool collected are attached. TVService was still recording and in MP Timer the programmed recording is still visible. I hope you find something that may be of help. Thank you very much.

    A dumb question to Marcusb:
Can you open the schedules table in the database
. How do I do this

    I work with SVN-12-09-2007-00-58-Rev16614

Wow, might be worthwhile updating MP + TVE3, as great improvement have happened regarding analogue, or have you had other issues, with new releases.

Will try and look at logs tomorrow, a bit sleepy now.
