Why does "deleting old thumbnails" takes ages? (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,
that's a question I always wanted to ask - whenever I restart MP and go into OV, I'm stuck for several minutes on "deleting old thumbnails". I some rare cases, this doesn't happen (I stays only a second or so on that message box), but most of the time, it takes two to four minutes to get past this. I couldn't find any correlation whatsoever to the number of sites i visited or videos I watched the last time I started MP - yesterday, for example, I watched exactly two youtube videos (results from two searches), and today, "deleting old thumbnails" took more than two minutes.

So, my question is: what i taking so long there, and is there a way to speed things up?

I don't see anything suspicious in the code.
Can you post the onlinevideos.log and can you check how many images you have in the cache folder? (default: C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\OnlineVideos\Cache)
It used to take some time too here (10 seconds or so) but since I switched to a SSD I don't even notice that window
