Why Does It Not Work? (1 Viewer)

Have worked for two days now trying to get this to work. In the end I used Media Renamer [v1.4b3 2007-03-26] to rename all my tv episodes so they matched the frist entry on the parsing expression tables default string expressions. The only change I have made is to point the data import path to C:\MediaPortal Source Files\TV Series. Not a single other configuration setting changed. Yet the parse tests does not show the episode, season etc. Have even tried moving video files into the root of the data import path, still no joy?

Have tried reinstalling the plugin, although there does not seem to be a clean way to remove it that I know of as the settings (i.e. the import path) are always remembered.

Does anybody know where I am going wrong?

So you are sure that you have all the 6 default regex, and that they have "enabled" checked?

Absoultely sure. You can see from the log, that it find the expressions. I have now used the MPI installer version of the plugin rather then the compressed file just in case something is missing, but still no joy.

Phsysically remove the database and all settings are gone. Something has to be wrong with your parsing expressions or it would parse those files just right.

Sorted!, built a test VM, installed MediaPortal and MP-TV plugin and checked out the default settings. For some reason on my non working MediaPortal PC I had the . & _ replacement strings enabled to run before matching, but on a fresh build test machine these where not enabled. Chances are it was the replace . with space string replacement being enabled to run before matching that caused it all to fail.....
