Thanks ajs for your further reply. So why do you think that is the case? Does MP1 & MP2 have different people working on them, and it's possibly because the MP2 people have lost interest? Or: That some or all of the same people, work on both, and for some reason they have prioritised MP1 ? If the latter, why would that be the case. I do feel that as a MP2 user, the creators don’t seem to interested in their users, but perhaps I am completely wrong. With regard to my current MP2 problem: Is this problem solvable ? Are there set-up pages that I can use/check to make sure everything is set-up correctly for FLAC audio. If so, can you point me to them. So what should be my way forward: I see you are part of one of the development groups, so any advice and help would be greatly appreciated. PS: When I first decided to install MP2: I read the online info, but I couldn't see why I should choose one version over the other, so I chose MP2 because it appeared to be the latest version. (Like choosing W11 over W10) But as we all know, the latest version, is not always the best version, or the preferred version. So what is the main difference between MP1 & MP2 And if I switched to MP1, what features would I loose, or gain? Many thanks for your time.
