Why when I change a TV channel is slow? (1 Viewer)

Hello and sorry for my bad language but I can't speak english better
I have an amd 2600 mhz with 2 gb RAM and today I buy a HAUPPAUGE WIN TV HVR 1100 ANALOGIC + DVB (HAUPPAUGE TARJETA WIN TV HVR 1100 ANALOGICA Y TDT ::: APPinformatica.com :::) . If I use a WinTV software I don't have any problems to change a channel, I only have to wait 1 or 1,5 seconds. But when I start mediaportal and enter in My TV First of all I have to wait 5 seconds, and later when I change the channel I have to wait 3 seconds. I try with diferents codecs and do the same. Actually I'm using ffdshow.

Any ideas to do this problem better? Is the pc slow? and If it is, why I only have to wait with mediaportal? It's normal?
What codec is the better to use the TV?

You must provide more information about your system to get some help on this issue. From my experience the TVserver setup is much quicker than the old version but I also got an increase in channel changing times when I put the timeshift on a separate physical harddrive.
