I second earlier posters, this plugin should be further developed. Good work!

    Hi machine,

After a careful thinking i second that it should be separated. Allthough it seems that webbrowser would be better to use it has few limitations.
    1. Text sice is not intended for tv users.
    2. Browsing needs mouse (could be pecause of web plugin tho)

    KEEP IT UP!

You sure should stay working on that plugin! It's way better than the browser-plugin, and an "encyclopedia/wikipedia"-plugin sure is a great functionality for MP!

Thanks to all who have posted here for the nice words :) I think with that lot of interest I'll definately continue my work on this plugin! I can't say when at the moment, but I will do sooner or later ;-)

why don't integrate on Music Library? I mean like Amarok kde player; for example: while u're listening a great band and would like to know more on them.
    What do u think?

Actually that was one thing I had in mind... To connect video and music plugin with wikipedia info to get some nice infotainment. Still no estimated finish time for this, so please be VERY patient ;)

    This is great :D
It is not that easy to use the web browser on a crt tv with overscan. Besides, plugins like this is much cooler.

I don`t want to push you or anything, I was just wodering if you wil make other plugins like this in the future.
For example video.google.com and metacafe.com for easy access to videos.

edit: just tried the plugin, but when I search, I search for something nothing happens...
No new information. I try to click buttons like search and so on once again but there is no respons.

Maby I atached the string wrong?
    I wil try some more..

One thing I would like to see which would allow a little bit of the merging toward what you are talking about regarding "infotainment" would be the allowing of whatever is currently playing (whether audio or video) to stay viewed in the mini-viewer (with controls active also) and have that mini-viewer active in many more of the plugins! I could see this concept working in the widescreen version of the web browser plugin, the mini-viewer could then fit in the lower left (like its normal position) and then it could also be available in the wikipedia plugin too. You see if you have a TV program (with timeshift available in the mini-viewer) then you could search on a web page what you see in the TV mini-screen. You could also do it with MusicVideos and maybe other media sources I can't think of off the top of my head.

    How does that sound?
