Will not show mp volume control... (1 Viewer)

Hope someone can help... The media portal on screen volume control that shows up at the top centre of the screen no longer shows. Instead it's the default windows 7 volume control (little green bar). This changed last week when I updated my audio driver however having rolled back the driver and also unistalling and deleting the driver software this still does not show the mp volume control which I prefer as it's larger and follows the same setup as the client PC's in the house.

Anyone know how to get this back, I never messed with any settings for volume in mp config before this happened however I have since checked within the volume options and found there to be nothing that stands out.

This happened to me once and I seem to remember it was something to do with my MCE remote. If you use the +/- on the keyboard doe the MP volume correctly show?

I can't remember how I fixed it unfortunately.

Check MP Config >> General >> Volume Settings and change the following setting:

I suspect you need to set it on Wave.

Just checked and yes it does show when I use the +- buttons on the keyboard but when I use the remote it shows the windows one. Yes it is set to wave already.

Then i assume you are on Window 8+ ?
Because that needs Master volume and it's hardcoded (if i'm right...)

No I'm on windows 7 running latest media portal.

For sure on WIN8, the volume from windows is display because we can't override it but maybe it happen too on win7 with recent windows update (no clue).

My other clients are ok and they've had the most recent update?

Strange no clue, maybe drivers related ?
