Hi,

Are there any recommended power options for a single seat MP running on win7? (for instance minimum processor state, balanced vs. high performance - plan)

I set everything to normal, I don't want it to use too much power, then the CPU will get its power when needed.

The only thing you need to do really is disable the monitor turn off functionality and disable the screen saver. But that is also good for Windows XP so, nothing specific to Win7.

i have setted it to "maximum Performance", without that everything stutters...

Maybe your HTPC is not powerfull enough ... Or I'd say right on the edge of not being fast enough...

Try installing a better video card, I've upgraded some Pentium 4 installation with a GeForce 210 fanless and they can now play 1080p full bluray bitrate without a hiccup. Pair that with the codec CoreAVC and enable CUDA and you're good to play anything!

When you say "everything stutters" menu does too? XviD or x264?

no, nothing stutters if i enable "maximum Performance". Even BlueRay`s and HDTV runs stutterfree on my System - no Problems at all. But only, if the Energy-Settings are on "maximum Performance". It seems, that there is something going on with DXVA and this Settings.

Dont know what exactly...
