Windows 7 - Can I???? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have Vista for my Server at the moment, but have the media ready to upgrade to Windows 7.

I have found a little on this in the forums, but not this question excatly so here goes:

Can I safely upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7 (Both Home premium) and expect Mediaportal 1.02 to continue working, or do I need the Mediaportal Beta or have to wait a bit longer for the next stable release of Mediportal?

Do a search in the forums about the issues with MP 1.0.2 and Windows 7 (such as MCE controller issues, etc). If you do upgrade, I think you will have to put MP at 1.1.0 as well, as it resolves most issues under Windows 7.

I run MP 1.1 on Win7 ultimate RTM X64 and it works (almost) flawless. Anyway alot better than my old 1.02 Vista X64 installation. Only problem is that tv-card cant start in MP sometimes, was worse in Vista.

Thanks for replies.

I use a Hauppauge remote through one of my cards so maybe that should be OK.

It has been a while since I have done the whole beta and SVN fun, so maybe it is time.

Will leave it a few weeks (got some DIY to do first) then give it a go.
