Just a quick question. I know that as of right now, MP does not support Windows 7. I'm migrating my HTPC to Win7 (32-bit) this weekend (I had been running Vista64, which was a nightmare, then switched to XP MCE which was fine, outside of some remote issues, until directX got updated in August and now I can't get MP to open!).

So, Windows 7 Pro has a full fledged copy of XP that you can run programs through that don't work in 7. So I was thinking of trying to run the last stable build of MP through the XP mode. Anyone try this? Thoughts? I really don't want to go back to Windows Media Center, but given the issues I've had with Vista64 and now with XP MCE, I'm ready to move on to Win7. Thanks!

the tv server might work, but i guess mp itself will not work, because the graphics card will also be virtualized
If you are brave enough to run the mp beta and a recent svn most of mps features should run fine on win 7.

Ok, I just read a few posts that seemed very dire about Win7 not being fully supported. Are you running the current released versions or one of the development snapshots in Win7?
