Guys

Would be great if you would support Windows 8 RTM for installation.
When trying to install, I get "Your operating system is not supported by MediaPortal. Install will be canceled."

Let me know if you need more info ;)

1.3.0 Alpha "official" install version.

Thanks & Cheers
Michel

Team has had no access to Windows 8 RTM so we cannot support it at the moment. After Windows 8 RTM is available in the public this fall then we will be able to go thru QA steps to make sure that we are compatible and if not then adjust some of our code.

Having a VS Ultimate + MSDN. Tax deductible for me , so I pay the 3.8K once a year since the late 90s. The Premium would be enough these days. I was upgraded over the years from other subscriptions.

Also for just OS releases a TechNet subscription might also be on option. If I am not mistaken it comes with all OSes and Server software. But haven't checked for a long time what's currently in it and what the pricing is.

Typo, it's August 15th. Gives enough time to October 26th for testing out basic comparability. Other issues might take longer.

Everyone who is not a developer (means, he can fix code) and asking for RTM support now is just a pirate. No support given out of principle!

Is there not a dev who is a student at a university? Students can get free access to all Windows OSs via DreamSpark as long as their university has signed up to it (most have I think).

Many devs are much older than you might think :D Also it wont help if one or two devs have access to Windows 8, most of them should be having the access so all areas can be verified (and fixed if needed).
